I Loved You My Love.

I Loved You My Love

Lyrics by B Porteous

Thanks for the gold coins
white daisies and ruby ring
when you gave them from heaven
they meant everything.
You said ‘forgive me my transgressions
be they big or just small,
when I looked back from here
I just saw it all’

Chorus:
I saw your sadness
the pain in your heart,
I saw my sorrow and loss
and it’s too late to start.
But you came to heaven
to see how I was
and you know now I loved you
I loved you because.

Life passes so quickly
in a skip and a hop
and then one day
with a heart-stop
I dropped.
I left your world
though you held me within,
I left you My Love
so you could begin.
Begin your life
find a love you can trust
and shine your smile
forever on by
for I am gone now My Love
it was my time to die.

Repeat chorus:
I saw your sadness
the pain of your heart
I saw my sorrow and loss
and it’s too late to start.
But you came to heaven
to see how I was
and you know now
I loved you My Love
I loved you because.

Grieving Is Like Leaving.........

Love In The Mist

Nine years ago today I read your eulogy
and then went into another room
to share a cup of tea.

And all the time along the way
I thought my grief would heal one day,
but although there are shifts and better times,
my heart just circles back to you
and faith helps me to carry through
all these years, occasional visitations,
but always, never another friend like you.

Five years ago you took me to heaven
to show me around,
you said you were sorry for your transgressions
be they big, or small,
and we healed so much
and I came back to continue along
healing myself and to write you a song.

This song with lovely lyrics,
I said I would share one day
and I continued writing in other ways.

But now I feel that cycle ends.
I must be present in my life.
I must heal the fractures,
be less vulnerable,
express myself from my heart
and begin again with a new start.

So as promised
and to continue Pink Love Shining
I will share those lyrical lines
knowing now that I’ve healed in time.
And as always
grieving, is like leaving
never going to arrive
until you do,
you do survive,
as the only way is working through,
casting off until there’s you
now knowing you as you do.

Breathing Pink

Sitting now, you hear the wind,
the old past blowing
the new times coming.

Ring the bells, release the old,
use your talents and your hours
sharing simple words from us,
as you listen to
the songs we are singing you.

Lighter, lighter
brighter, brighter,
clearer nearer,
more to hear,
much more coming, becoming clear.
Release, surrender
start your new,
inside out and surely true.

We’re always growing,
it’s only change,
we are here to grow and re-arrange
anything which no longer serves us
releasing softly,
life supports us.

Breathing pink, glorious pink,
with breath after breath of pinking-in
your life will brighten,
as the clouds go and seeing pink will truly show
that all around, above, below
angel smiles have a heavenly glow.

My Present Moments

May I have the Grace
to know my place
and the faith
to walk whatever path
is leading me
intuitively.

In essence
all the gifts are free
when I come to Balance
and Humility,
when I do my best
to serve the many
knowing there is
always plenty.
Bring my love to everyday
living in the Present Moment
being there
to really ‘own it’.
Loving myself
and nurturing too
loving me
is loving you.

Birds Are Singing, Bells Are Ringing

As I live this Christmas week
I pray for all
who love and seek,
for all the ones
on this dear earth
who need some song
who yearn for mirth,
for love and peace
for sharing now
for living, breathing
and caring how,
for melody
and harmony,
for the beautiful voices from the skies,
for all who live
and all who’ve died.

May love surround
and fill our hearts,
may oneness bring
us back to start,
to live and breathe
and join the spirits
who surround us in our every day
and call us over
when our time has passed,
the only truth
that ever lasts
is love
and song
and other worlds
with voices singing
as bells are ringing
and faith and hope
are blessings true
which come to us,
me and you.

So in this Christmas-time we have
may peace be with us
and gratitude true,
may you love me
and I love you.
May lights be bright,
may heaven be high
as blue comes down
and blue comes through,
heavenly blue
with lightest white,
may clouds of wonder
and pure delight
bring 2014 calmly in
and may you know this
and know to bring
all your love to share around
with all of us
on earth our ground.

May light, bright hope
and songs bring faith
and times will tell
and bells will ring
and yes we’re here at the beginning.
Fill us up with love and cheer
and compassion, contentment
and a bright new year.

Strawberry Cream and Rose Petals

On a country walk
through a hillside town
I found the red roses
as I was strolling around.
At first,
I just took a photograph
as I looked at the mass
of beautiful flowers
and thought to keep going
as I’d been walking for hours.

But the rose
gestured to me,
come closer and see
the heart of my colour
is like no other
symbol of romantic love
and yet,
you see,
more in me.

What I see
when I look at you
is a glorious full bloom
with a golden centre
and that is unusual
and stepping aside
from the symbol of roses
that flows on the tide
of passion and joy
and the romance of Spring
this bright colour
may also bring
more to each day
in a universal way,
that helps us to find
a sharing of minds.

I will go further
and express even more,
the depth of brotherhood
we all could explore.
Would we share with a stranger
our soup on the stove,
would we walk one mile further
to show that we care
there are people around
who feel lonely and lost,
will we take them a rose
to help them to find
more examples that locals
may also be kind.

So as I go along
on this ‘Neighbour Day’
I have greeted three strangers
in a friendly way……
The schoolgirl with the smile
and homework to do,
the boy on the bicycle
who was exuberant too,
and the lady in sneakers
out walking her road,
she’s almost home
and is now somewhat tired,
but still, very cheerful
to see me in town
and perhaps ‘the Friday feeling’
was dancing around.

So Red Rose
will go
into a beautiful vase
and sit on my desk
as a tribute to
the smiles of strangers
the strength of ‘Hello’
the sunshine this day
and Spring flowering displays.

So I have fresh strawberries
to serve with rose petals,
having just had a coffee
in the Red Door Food Store
where I copied a recipe
from the High Tea Cookbook……
it was for Strawberry Cream
and delightful it looked,
so delighted I will be
to serve it with scones
and a cup of black tea.

So let’s enjoy
life as it is
the simple pleasures
are serendipitous gifts
to widen our smile
and surely uplift
small encounters
on little adventures
through the path of this day
and my pleasure to see
Rose’s beautiful display.
